〔안정원의 건축 칼럼〕자연과 동화된 흐름을 추구한 조경화된 건축의 묘미 2

●● 멋진 세상 속 건축디자인_ 자연과 동화된 흐름을 추구한 조경화된 건축, 스페인 마요르카 섬의 루럴 호텔(Rural Hotel in Mallorca, Extension and Renovation)

The intention behind this project is to incorporate four suites in a rural 5-star hotel which currently occupies an old Convent in the town of Pollença, in the island of Mallorca. The boutique hotel is a weekend and holiday retreat, an escape from the modern world.

In order to avoid competing with the historical building and with the purpose of taking advantage of the topography, four new villas have been added and carefully sited in the winery. Responding to the cues and spirit of the area, the intervention is at once anchored in the landscape and camouflaged by the use of the traditional stone walls. The result is a harmonic symbiosis between the construction and the green spaces. The project is currently under construction.

각각의 객실 앞에는 아담한 풀장과 편안히 휴식을 취할 수 있는 데크와 마당이 펼쳐져 있어 정겹게 인식된다. 이러한 녹지와의 조화를 추구하며 공생하고자 하는 건축가의 시도 덕택에 자연스러운 마요르카섬 휴양지를 찾은 호텔 이용 고객들은 흡사 부티크 호텔에 머문다고 보다는 시골 할머니 댁에 온 듯한 편안함을 부여하기에 충분하다.
