South Korea's central administrative city of Sejong and the second largest city of Busan are set to be reborn as "smart" cities.

A boy, complaining of a stomach ache at a bus stop, hit the emergency bell installed there.

It allows him to be connected to the "Smart City" control center.

"I have a stomachache! Please help me!"

"We will send a 119 rescue team to you. Don't move and stay there."

Sejong and Busan cities will build such smart network systems equipped with cutting-edge IT technologies, on a trial basis, by 2021.

The smart systems involve IoT technology-applied traffic information and drone courier services, as well as Infrastructures for public car-sharing services using self-driving vehicles.

"We will eventually turn this city into a town that is based on a public car-sharing system, discouraging the use of privately-owned vehicles."

The 1.7 trillion-won project to set up the two Smart Cities is expected to begin in July 2019.
