"현재 미국 대선 후보 가운데 누가 상대역이 되기를 바라시나요?"

"세후보 가운데 누가 돼도 상관이 없습니다. 누가 돼도 한국과의 전통적 관계를 심화시키는 데 있어 같은 생각을 갖고 있을 것으로 믿습니다. 또 북핵 문제에 대한 같은 생각을 공유할 것으로 믿습니다. 누가 미 대통령이 되든 내 생각을 함께 나눌 수 있을 것입니다."
