#China's_migrating_elephants

China's wandering wild Asian elephant herd that has caught global attention had been lingering for almost five days in a township of southwest China's Yunnan Province by Saturday afternoon, with their activities limited to a small sphere.

Two elephants were also captured kicking each other with their legs, which experts explained as one of their usual ways of communication.

The herd's pace of migrating has rather slowed down since they came to Yimen County. Experts believe that it's probably their anticipated food -- the plantain growing in the tropical river valley here --that captivates them.

Besides, according to experts, there's a chance that they are waiting for the separated elephant, which has not yet shown strong will to rejoin the herd.
