Korea's thriller series have seen remarkable results in their overseas sales.

"Voice", a thriller starring Jang Hyuk and Lee Ha-Na has been sold not only to Southeast Asian film distributors but also to European and South American dealers.

Another crime thriller "Tunnel", that wrapped up last month, has also been sold to American distributors.

The just-started series "Duel", in which Jung Jae-Young and Kim Jung-Eun star, has been marketed in the American region even before its premiere here.

It revolves around a battle between a veteran police detective, whose daughter has been kidnapped, and two human clones.

"I think that the script has a dynamic plot line and no time to be bored with. I had a very strong first impression."

"I got used to tender love stories so much. So, I've wanted to do some dramas which are quite different and fast-paced crime thrillers such as CSI."

Most Korean dramas have so far featured romantic comedies and garnered high popularity across the Asian region.

However, recent Korean-made crime thrillers have been attracting an increasing number of drama viewers in America as well as Europe. Now, they are making a new Hallyu drama trend.
