Nam Jae-wook, a member of Changwon City Council, said at a regular meeting today (10th) that the president had good and justifiable reasons to invoke martial law, and that the six-hour emergency martial law was the performance of the president, the supreme guardian of the Constitution.
In response, Moon Soon-kyu, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized that it was simply a far-right and unbiased YouTube broadcast, saying, "How do you make remarks that justify illegal and unconstitutional martial law in a sacred parliament?"
At today's plenary session, a resolution condemning the declaration of an emergency martial law was rejected due to opposition from all members of the People's Power Party.
