[Chungnam] Construction of the highway connecting Seosan Daesan Industrial Complex...Opening in 2030

Construction has begun in earnest to connect the three major petrochemical complexes in Korea, Seosan Daesan Industrial Complex in South Chungcheong Province, and Dangjin Junction on the West Coast Expressway.

The Daesan-Dangjin Expressway will be built with four round-trip lanes in a 25.4km section and aims to open in December 2030.When the

Expressway is opened, the travel time from Daesan Complex to Dangjin Junction will be shortened by about 20 minutes, which will provide 68.8 billion won in social benefits annually.

South Chungcheong Province Governor Kim Tae-heum said the Daesan-Dangjin Expressway will be a key infrastructure for revitalizing the economy and tourism in the northwestern part of South Chungcheong Province, adding that he will spare no support for its early opening.
