Prosecutors cleared Park Yong-gap and Kim Jong-min of violating the election law.

Rep. Park Yong-gap of the Democratic Party of Korea and independent lawmaker Kim Jong-min, who were accused of violating the Public Official Election Act during the 22nd National Assembly election, were cleared of charges.

The Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office decided not to charge Park and Kim, who were accused of violating the Public Official Election Act.

Earlier, the Daejeon Police Agency handed over lawmaker Park to the prosecution on charges of abuse of authority and violation of the Public Official Election Act and the Special Act on the Designation and Management of Development Restricted Zones.

The Sejong City Election Commission also filed a complaint against Representative Kim and accountants on charges of donation, purchase, and inducement of understanding under the election law.
