[Gyeonggi] Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival opens...Preparing a program for foreign tourists

The Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival will be held in Hwaseong, Suwon for three days until the 6th.

The Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival will be selected as Korea's representative global festival by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism from this year, and a new multilingual performance and experience program will be introduced so that foreign tourists can easily experience our traditional culture.

New global festival programs include Changgeuk "Jagunggagyo," which features English commentary on the screen, Moorish media drama "Hwaryeong," and "Dasobangwa of Jeongjo," which allows visitors to experience court refreshments.

Earlier in March, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selected the Incheon Pentaport Music Festival (performance art type), Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival (traditional culture type), and Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival (tourism resource type) as global festivals and decided to provide 2.5 billion won in state funds for three years and foster them as representative tourism products to Korea.
