The Ministry of Health and Welfare said flexible decisions can be made on the premise of agreement with the medical community regarding the number of medical schools in 2026.

Park Min-soo, the second vice minister of welfare, said that the number of people has been increased by 2,000 legally, and that if we want to change this, we need to discuss it specifically and make a fair decision.

He then explained that the government is in a position to talk to the medical community regardless of the topic, and that if a quota agreement can be reached, it can be flexibly decided.

In addition, the Ministry of Health and Welfare plans to first form an organization for estimating doctors and nurses through legislation in the National Assembly and expand it to dentists, oriental doctors, and pharmacists.
