Kang Shin-wook, an honorary professor at Dankook University who ran for the election, filed for a provisional injunction with the Seoul Central District Court to suspend the election, saying that the electors were not elected in a due process and that the voting conditions were not equal.Candidate Kang

He also stressed that it is doubtful whether the way athletes, leaders, and referees receive personal information consent in advance is intended for a specific person.

Earlier, Lee Ho-jin, chairman of the Korea Ice Hockey Association, and others applied for a provisional injunction against the suspension of the election to the Seoul Eastern District Court, saying that it is a clear "violation of the right to vote" for more than 2,400 electors to gather at Olympic Park in Seoul for 150 minutes.
