Cold wave warnings have been issued mainly in northeastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province, where heavy snow warnings have been issued.

The cold wave warning area is mostly in Gangwon-do except Yeoncheon, Pocheon, Paju, and the east coast of Gyeonggi-do, and the effective time is 9 p.m. tonight.

Snow warnings are currently being issued in most parts of Gangwon-do except Gapyeong and the east coast of Gyeonggi-do.

The Korea Meteorological Administration expects the morning temperature to drop significantly below minus 12 degrees Celsius for more than two days, mainly in the cold wave special area, after up to 5 centimeters of snow fell in eastern Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province today, and asked for special attention to icy road slides and freezing accidents in the area.
