Announcement of People's Power Statement "Execution of Yoon's Arrest Warrant, Immediately Suspended"

The People's Power argued that the execution of warrants for the arrest of Yoon Suk Yeol's president by the high-ranking government official's criminal investigation office should be stopped immediately for the safety of citizens, military police and security officials.

The People's Power said in a statement issued in the name of its members after the general meeting of emergency lawmakers that a very worrisome incident occurred during the national mourning period, which was the execution of an illegal arrest warrant for the incumbent president.

He then said that the warrant for the arrest of President Yoon by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit has serious legal flaws, and urged the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit to immediately stop the investigation of rebellion and transfer the investigation to the police.

He also stressed that the Democratic Party's removal of the rebellion from the reason for President Yoon's impeachment was a "fraudulent impeachment" and that the National Assembly should draw up a new impeachment inquiry and go through a re-decision process.
