The prosecution's special investigation headquarters has started to secure a second recruit.
We requested an arrest warrant for Yeo In-hyeong, commander of the Defense Security Command.
The commander of the counterintelligence command instructed former NIS chief Hong Jang-won and National Police Agency chief Jo Ji-ho to arrest more than 10 political figures, including National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik,
As he/she is an incumbent soldier
, the warrant will be reviewed at the military court in the central area.
However, the commander of the secretariat gave up the interrogation.
He explained that he would take responsibility in court, saying he did not think it was right for the people and their subordinates.
Earlier, the prosecution called in Commander Yeo twice to investigate whether there was a preliminary plan for emergency martial law and whether there was an order from President Yoon and former Minister Kim.Prosecutors are also continuing search and seizure to find out how they deployed counterintelligence agents not only to the
National Assembly but also to the Central Election Commission.
It's been five days, and it's expected to continue for a while because it takes time to extract the data needed for the investigation.
Commander Yeo is a key figure in the emergency martial law and is considered a so-called Chungam faction from Chungam High School, where President Yoon and former Minister Kim graduated.
However, Commander Yeo said that President Yoon has mentioned martial law for months, but he has been dissuaded from pushing for martial law several times.
