Let's continue with the news of the martial law-related investigation and the Youngsoo Kim reporter from the Ministry of Social Affairs. How are you? First of all, I wonder when the investigation into the president will take place.
[Reporter]
In the previous report, it was well organized, but there was a back briefing by the police today. First of all, he explained to the president that he is reviewing the request for attendance. They said they would also consider arrest warrants. Didn't you go to the presidential office and search and return after receiving a little voluntary submission? It is said that it is in the process of reviewing whether to re-enforce it or apply again. The official residence and the communication warrant for the president are also internally considered. The police called four members of the State Council to investigate, and they are investigating those who attended the Cabinet meeting where martial law was discussed on the night of the 3rd. All four of them were reference persons. In addition, Prime Minister Han Deok-soo and former floor leader Choo Kyung-ho explained that they are adjusting the date of attendance.

And about Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho and Seoul Commissioner Kim Bong-sik, did they receive a warrant review today?
[Reporter]
The two are accused of putting their careers into the National Assembly and other areas, and they are suspected of being an important missionary. The charges are the same as former Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was arrested earlier. There was a warrant review at 3 p.m. today. Most of the recent events are unusual, and it was equally unusual for the police chief, who leads the 140,000 police, to be handcuffed and examined for warrants as if he were on the screen now. Commissioner Jo Ji-ho received a lot of questions from reporters on his way to the warrant review. But he didn't answer anything. Also, according to the lawyer, he was diagnosed with stage 2 blood cancer. So I'm battling a disease, but I think he probably emphasized that there is not much fear of running away in today's warrant review. Kim Bong-sik, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, who was also asked for a warrant, gave up the warrant review. Maybe the results of the two will come out as early as tonight.

There was also news that came in today. Arrest the judge who acquitted representative Lee Jae-myung. I heard this argument came out, right?
[Reporter]
That's right. This is what lawyer Noh Jung-hwan, the lawyer of the National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, claimed. After martial law was declared, he was the counterintelligence commander. Commander Yeo In-hyeong asked for the location of 15 people. He claimed that Lee Jae-myung was not guilty in the first trial of perjury. Specifically, when Commissioner Jo Ji-ho asked again because his name was unfamiliar, he added that Commander Yeo In-hyeong explained that he was the judge who acquitted him in the first trial. Earlier, it was known that Kim Dae-woo, head of the counterintelligence investigation team, heard and wrote down a list of 14 people from Yeo In-hyeong, but this is the first claim that a judge was included. However, I don't think this was mentioned in the police investigation. The police said the judge's name was not included in the record.

And did it say that the details of the president's family meeting have also been confirmed?
[Reporter]
That's right. A police investigation confirmed that President Yoon Suk Yeol, two police leaders and the Minister of Defense gathered at a safe house three hours before martial law was declared. Commissioner Jo Ji-ho originally said he knew about martial law on TV, but he changed his statement during the police investigation. The police are currently analyzing CCTV. As I mentioned here, President Yoon Suk Yeol, National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho, Seoul National Police Agency Commissioner Kim Bong-sik, and Defense Minister were there, and President Yoon Suk Yeol gave each of the two police leaders a piece of paper with one A4 paper. Commissioner Jo Ji-ho brought it home, thought it was ridiculous, and tore it up and threw it away. The police only requested an arrest warrant, believing that this was an attempt to destroy evidence. In addition, the police investigation confirmed that Commissioner Jo Ji-ho received six calls from President Yoon Suk Yeol after martial law, and that they were all security phones at that time.

In the midst of this, Commissioner Jo Ji-ho claimed that he made three protests.
[Reporter]
That's right. So it's a rebuttal to the effect that he didn't agree with martial law and tried to protect democracy. Lawyer Roh Jung-hwan emphasizes the fact that Commissioner Jo Ji-ho protested three times. First of all, he did not follow the written instructions given by the president. And he refused the contents that the counterintelligence commander called and demanded. And the president also refused to call six times and order the lawmakers to be arrested. There are three like this. First of all, regular access to the control of the National Assembly. So he explained that he ordered lawmakers, aides and reporters to be allowed in. He also explained that Yeo In-hyeong, the commander of the counterintelligence command, rejected all requests for location information of 15 people and sent 100 investigators. However, he explained that he spent his career at a place like the NEC to ensure safety in case of accidental situations.

What happens to the arrest warrant for former counterintelligence commander Yeo In-hyeong?
[Reporter]
First of all, the prosecution requested an arrest warrant for former commander Yo In-hyeong. Since he is currently a soldier, there will be a warrant review in the military court. Commander Yeo In-hyeong was questioned twice before the prosecution. As I said, he is accused of sending troops to the National Assembly and the NEC and attempting to arrest key figures. It was a testimony from the National Assembly earlier that former commander Yeo In-hyeong prepared a detention facility in the prison and ordered the arrest. Kim Dae-woo, the head of the counterintelligence investigation team, testified like this. Specifically, he ordered the detention facility to be checked inside the B1 bunker in Subangsa, and even told them to write down a list of 14 politicians. The counterintelligence commander can be seen as the number 2 designated as the head of the joint investigation headquarters in the martial law system. Isn't there a spring movie in Seoul? He is the same character as Chun Doo-hwan, who is well known in the movie. In addition to the charges of sending troops to the National Assembly and the NEC and ordering the arrest, he is suspected of writing a decree.

We told you earlier.Ma, former commander Yeo In-hyeong gave up the warrant review.
[Reporter]
That's right. As I said earlier, it will be held in the military court. First of all, at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, the Military Court of the Central District Prosecutors' Office will review the arrest warrant for former commander Yeo In-hyeong, who informed reporters that he would give up the review. I issued a statement and apologized for the anxiety and concern to the people. I also mentioned responsibility for my men. At the same time, he has expressed his position that he does not think it is the right thing to do to the people and their subordinates to respond to the interrogation over the need for arrest.

Let's stop here. So far, I've been with the Youngsoo Kim reporter from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Thank you for talking today.
