Lee Ki-heung, chairman of the Korea Sports and Olympic Committee, filed a request for suspension of execution to the court against the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's notice of suspension of duty was not accepted.

The Seoul Administrative Court's Administrative Department 14 rejected Chairman Lee's request for suspension of his duties against the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the suspension will remain until the original results of the administrative lawsuit filed by Chairman Lee against the suspension of his duties are released.

The court explained that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's disposition of job politics has no damage to Chairman Lee, there are no defects in the procedure of notification of suspension, and it is difficult to see the contents of the government's joint public service inspection team's investigation as false and worthless.

Earlier on the 11th of last month, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism notified Chairman Lee of the suspension of his duties based on the results of an investigation by the Public Service Inspection Team.

The inspection team asked the police to investigate Chairman Lee and others for reasons such as fraudulent hiring of employees, demands for sponsorship of goods, and private use of sponsored goods.

Chairman Lee, who is seeking his third consecutive term in the election of the 42nd chairman of the Korea Sports Council on the 14th of next month, said in an interview with a local media yesterday (12th), "I was asked by a government official not to run because there was a candidate nominated by the government."
