Court revokes Korea Communications Commission's sanctions on MBC's exclusive flight exclusion report.

The court ruled to cancel the court sanctions imposed on MBC by the Korea Communications Standards Commission, citing MBC reporters' report on the exclusion of presidential aircraft.

The Seoul Administrative Court today (10th) ruled in favor of the plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by MBC against the Korea Communications Commission to cancel the sanctions.

The court decided that the registered members stipulated in the Act on the Korea Communications Commission should not be limited to the meaning of "current members."

Therefore, he explained that more than half of the two current members of the KCC did not meet the legislative purpose to interpret that they met the quorum of their decisions.

The court also decided to cancel the "caution" disposition issued by MBC radio programs citing the so-called "Kim Man-bae and Shin Hak-rim" interview by Newstapa.

At that time, the Korea Communications Commission decided to impose sanctions, saying that they reported it as true without thorough verification and confirmation, but the court again saw it as illegal in the process of disposing of it.

The KCC issued a position and said it would analyze the ruling and respond appropriately, indicating plans to appeal after internal review.
