Cho Gu-rae, head of the Foreign Affairs and Strategic Intelligence Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who visited Japan to attend high-level talks on North Korea's nuclear program between South Korea, the U.S., and Japan, held high-level talks with Hiroyuki Namazu, the head of Japan's North Korean nuclear program.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the two sides agreed in the consultation that cooperation between Korea and Japan is more important in sensitive times.

In addition, he shared his assessment of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, including the deepening of illegal military cooperation between North Korea and Russia, and added that close cooperation will continue.

In particular, he condemned North Korea's continued provocations, including the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles, and reaffirmed its commitment to achieving North Korea's complete denuclearization.
