Jeju 4.3 Movie [My Name is] Crankin next April

Director Jung Ji-young, who made the films "Broken Arrow" and "Black Money," will produce a film about the Jeju 4.3 incident.

The production promotion committee of the movie My Name held a production briefing yesterday afternoon (9th) at the Jeju Provincial Council Provincial Cafe.

This work is based on the name of lawyer Young-ok's mother, Jeong-soon, to find out how the wounds caused by Jeju 4.3 in 1948 are connected to future generations.

The main character, Jeong-soon, is played by actress Yeom Hye-ran, who has broadened her acting range in the movie "Citizen Duck-hee" and the drama "The Glory."

The film's official crank-in is scheduled for April 3 next year, with its release set for April 3, 2026.
