Youth Foundation completes 'Career Step-Up 2nd Stage' program to strengthen employment capacity for isolated youth

The Youth Foundation announced today (10th) that it has successfully completed the "Career Step-Up 2nd" program, which provides opportunities to strengthen employment capabilities to young people who have difficulty entering society due to isolation experiences.

The "Career Step-Up 2nd Stage" course, which has been held for the past five weeks, is a program of On&Up, a future tomorrow work experience project organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and co-operated by the Youth Foundation and Persol Kelly Korea.

Eight young people from the "second career step-up" supported by the Youth Foundation and Persolkelie Korea visited L'Oreal Korea headquarters in Samseong-dong, Seoul on the 28th of last month to experience the work environment of global beauty companies. It also carried out a project to promote and market the 20s under the theme of L'Oreal Korea brand products. In this process, I had the opportunity to build practical skills by learning how to use AI tools and individual branding strategies.At the final project presentation held as the final stage of the

program, the results prepared by young people were presented, showing their creativity and ideas unique to Generation Z. Corporate experts attended the meeting to provide practical feedback and confirm the growth of participants.

"Through this program, young people who were struggling with isolation experiences were able to regain confidence and take a step closer to society," said Park Joo-hee, secretary-general of the Youth Foundation. "The Youth Foundation will continue to provide support to young people in the blind spot of our society to become members of society."

Kim So-hyun, executive director of Persol Kelly Korea, said, "We want to continue to provide more young people who are underprivileged in this program with opportunities to grow and increase job competitiveness through job experience. We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and make leading movements and efforts in the corporate society."

L'Oréal Korea, which participated in the program, is the Korean branch of the world's largest beauty global company and announced that it plans and operates various programs such as the Brand Storm Global Idea Contest, Career Talk, and Internship to increase their employability by providing young talents with various experiences and learning opportunities under the global initiative called L'Oréal for Young People.

The Youth Foundation evaluated that the corporate tour gave young people an opportunity to strengthen their practical employment capabilities, provided companies with fresh ideas from the younger generation, and left positive effects on both sides. It also explained that Youth On&Up won the Minister of Employment and Labor Award (Excellence Award) in the field of the best case contest for future tomorrow work experience projects in 2024.
