[Incheon] Incheon population, 3.13 million in 2037... the only increase among metropolitan cities

Incheon Metropolitan City is the only city among the six metropolitan cities in the country that continues to grow in population, and it is expected to reach up to 3.13 million by 2037.

Through the announcement of the "2022-2042 Future Population Estimation by County and District," Incheon City predicted that this trend of population growth will continue over the next 20 years.

The total population of Incheon City is expected to increase steadily from 2,975,000 in 2022 to 3,126,000 in 2037, before turning to a decline and reaching 3.11 million in 2042.

This is an increase of about 4.5% over 20 years, and the proportion of the population relative to the nation is expected to rise from 5.8% in 2022 to 6.3% in 2042.

Based on the 2022 census (registration census), the estimate was prepared to reflect population trends and movement trends such as birth and death.
