Vice Defense Minister Kim Sun-ho said, "Former Minister Kim Yong-hyun ordered martial law troops to the National Assembly."

Vice Defense Minister Kim Sun-ho attended the National Assembly's National Defense Committee yesterday and said it was then Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun who ordered the National Assembly to deploy martial law troops.

Vice Minister Kim made the remarks, saying he disagrees with Cho Kuk, a member of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, asking whether President Yoon agrees with the expression at the time of declaring the emergency martial law that the National Assembly has become a criminal group den.

Vice Minister Kim added that he has fundamentally opposed the mobilization of military forces in such martial law and expressed negative opinions on the armed soldiers' entry into the National Assembly by breaking the window.

When asked who wrote the proclamation issued by the martial law command, he explained that the author could not be confirmed, and that it was not written by the Ministry of National Defense so far.

At the same time, he said that he was devastated and very sad and distressed on a personal level, and that he would take responsibility for what happened and not preventing it while in the post of deputy defense minister.
