North Chungcheong Province's KCTU and civic groups "condemn anti-constitutional martial law declaration"

The Chungbuk headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and civil society organizations held a press conference in front of the Chungbuk Provincial Government and condemned the Yoon Suk Yeol government's declaration of emergency martial law as anti-constitutional and illegal.

He also criticized Yoon Suk Yeol's government for admitting its incompetence and dictatorship through an unconventional and anti-democratic measure called martial law in the face of a crisis of power.

He then called for the resignation of the Ministry of National Defense officials who sent troops, the resignation of the cabinet after failing to prevent the situation, and the resignation of the Yoon Suk Yeol government.
