[Y Review] Story of love and growth to melt frozen hearts..."Cheongseol" is like a nice gift.

The movie, which gently touches the frozen heart in the solid heart, will come to the audience this fall. The main character is "Cheongseol," a remake of the Taiwanese movie of the same name that was released in Korea in 2010.

'Cheongseol' is a story about a young man, Yong-jun (Hong Kyung), who can't write a single line of self-introduction because he doesn't know what he wants to do or what he's apt to do, but who has a warm heart more than anyone else, falls in love with his younger brother, Autumn (Kim Min-joo), and Yeoreum (Roh Yoon-seo), who lives a life for her family.

"Cheongseol," a high-purity romance movie that is rare in Korean theaters recently, portrays the love and growth of young people without any specks. What makes the movie attractive is that the director captures the growing pains and pains in the process. It is a situation and subject that can be sufficiently exaggerated or glorified, but the director chose to remove unnecessary things and focus on the core, creating a "nice yet fun" movie.

Above all, the director does not lose sight of the fact that hatred, discrimination, and prejudice against the disabled can be dangerous, even without instrumentalizing or wasting the subject of the deaf as a means. In this process, the director's attitude of not forcing a message and not putting a didactic theme ahead comes in a very smart and desirable way of directing.

Growth, love, fun, and lessons could have missed everything if done wrong, but the director does not neglect anything and presents quite successful results to the audience.

The combination of young actors, called Chungmuro Rising Star, is also excellent. All three main characters in the movie are played in sign language (手話), including Hong Kyung, Noh Yoon-seo, and Kim Min-joo. The efforts of the three actors, who naturally act by learning sign language that is not easy, are also surprising, but the bigger thing to see is their rich facial expressions and deep eyes.

Since most of the lines are sign language, the work has many voicemail gaps. However, actors fully convey their emotions through their facial expressions and eyes so that they cannot feel such an empty space, which is directly transmitted to the audience outside the screen.

In particular, Hong-kyung increases her immersion in the work by showing a combination of Yong-jun character with a beautiful, clear and transparent boyhood and excellent eyes. Hong-kyung's charm, which has shown various faces in various genres, shines once more in this work.

Noh Yoon-seo, who has clearer and deeper eyes than the lake, also proved his true value as an actor by smoothly digesting the complex emotions of the summer character. In particular, his ability to convey emotions excellently only with his eyes and facial expressions stands out even more on the big screen.

On top of that, Kim Min-joo's realistic acting skills are amazing as if she brought the character of autumn to life. In this work, he is more attractive than expected as an actor.

In an era where stimulating content represented by "Dopamine" is overflowing, such a nice and refreshing movie may feel flat to some audiences. However, "Cheongseol" is expected to be a gift for those who have been waiting for a light yet clean-tasting movie.
