BOK-FSC launches Toss Bank joint inspection next month

The Bank of Korea, in collaboration with the Financial Supervisory Service, will launch a joint inspection of Internet-only bank Toss Bank next month.

The inspection was conducted when the Bank of Korea asked the Financial Supervisory Service for a joint inspection, and the Bank of Korea and the Financial Supervisory Service are expected to conduct regular inspections together for four weeks from the 4th of next month.

This is the first time Toss Bank has undergone regular inspections since the bank was established in 2020.

Toss Bank has been worried about its weak capital due to its bond-focused asset composition, weak capital size and deficit financial position.

In this regular inspection, Toss Bank's first business status evaluation will also be conducted.
