[Incheon] Wild raccoon in the city center...anti- rabies spray

As raccoons, which are wild animals, frequently appear in downtown Incheon, related agencies have started spraying rabies prevention drugs.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government and the local government have decided to spray about 1,900 rabies prevention items to 29 places, including urban parks and rivers, where raccoons appear.

The preventive medicine is in the form of a brown square block made of fish meal, and there is a rabies vaccine inside, so the vaccine is automatically administered when raccoons know it as food and take it.

The Incheon Metropolitan Government believes that raccoons will feed before entering hibernation in November, and that they will be transferred to urban parks and other places as development progresses in existing habitats such as agricultural land or forest land.
