To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the collapse of Sungsu Bridge..."I hope you don't repeat the tragedy".

A joint memorial service was held today (21st), the 30th anniversary of the collapse of the Seongsu Bridge, which killed 32 people.

The Seongdong-gu Office in Seoul held the 30th anniversary of the memorial service at the memorial tower around the interchange at the northern end of Seongsu Bridge with the bereaved families of the victims at 11 a.m. today (21st).

More than 40 people, including the bereaved families of the victims, faculty members of Muhak Girls' High School, and student representatives, attended the memorial service to honor the victims' souls.

Kim Hak-yoon, the former chairman of the bereaved family, said in his eulogy that if there was a system to listen to citizens' reports and prepare for a national emergency, the sacrifice could have been prevented, and emphasized that now we need to get out of the safety insensitivity bond.

Thirty years ago, the collapse of the Seongsu Bridge at 7:40 a.m. on October 21, 1994, killed 32 citizens, including students from Muhak Girls' High School, and injured 17 others, which was recorded as a typical underdeveloped accident.
