Los Angeles shows that the California Coastal Commission recently rejected a SpaceX request to increase annual rocket launches from 36 to 50.

The members of the California Coastal Commission are made up of Democratic governors and Democratic-majority state legislators.
Musk has been actively supporting Republican former President Trump ahead of the presidential election and has also been on the Trump campaign stage.
