In a parliamentary audit conducted by the National Assembly's Education Committee on the Ministry of Education and others, a dispute arose over the suspicion of plagiarism of Kim Gun-hee's thesis.

The opposition party said that the start of Kim's false career began with a master's degree thesis at Sookmyung Women's University of Education, and demanded that Education Minister Lee Ju-ho personally start verifying plagiarism papers.

On the other hand, the ruling party countered that many opposition figures, including Democratic Party Chairman Lee Jae-myung and Cho Kuk of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, are also suspected of plagiarizing the thesis, and that it is inappropriate for the first lady's thesis to be discussed again at the National Assembly.
