Engineers at a local automaker took part in an idea festival held at the company's research and development center.

This question that flashed through a college student's mind while he was watching a wheelchair has finally created future car technology to overcome obstacles.

The inconvenience that car drivers suffer from on rainy days due to beads of raindrops forming on the side mirrors has also been overcome.

The raindrops on the side mirrors are removed by air pumps powered only by the movement of the windshield wipers.

Developed with an idea based on the face-changing art, a car can change its grills, while newly-developed electric vehicles are equipped with a novel trunk device, making good use of the space of its motor chamber.

Another new technology that enables environment-friendly fuel cell electric vehicles to reuse wastewater produced while they are running has also been introduced during the idea festival.

Although the future car technologies have yet to be commercialized, they will be precious assets to help the domestic automotive industry overcome the current predicament and advance innovation for its future growth.
