BamBam, a Thai singer and rapper based in Seoul as a member of K-pop boy band Got7, has been exempted from the military service in his home country Thailand.
BamBam returned to Bangkok on April 8th to take part in a state-organized military lottery to determine recruits. However, he failed to have any chance to pick from the lottery box for potential recruits because the required number of recruits for the year had already been achieved with volunteers ahead of his lottery.
Nichkhun, the Thai member of the renowned K-pop male act 2PM, signed under the same label as Got7, returned home and took part in a military lottery in 2009. But he was also exempted from military service.
