Heartthrob actor Park Hae-Jin will become the first Korean star to have his own channel on China's Weibo V+.
The Chinese microblogging website Sino Weibo has asked Park to open his very own channel on its online broadcasting network Weibo V+. The channel "Park Hae-Jin V+" is scheduled to begin airing in early April.
The "Park Hae-Jin V+" channel is expected to air live broadcasts and various other video content related to the Korean idol star.
The Weibo V+ project involving Park is widely seen here as a meaningful step in relations between South Korea and China which put on unofficial bans on Hallyu, or the Korean Wave, content for more than a year until late last year over the so-called "THAAD dispute" between the two countries.
