A Siberian tiger at a zoo seems to be completely exhausted amid the scorching heat.

Moves of the large feline mammals have notably been reduced, as they appear to have lost their appetite.

Zookeepers have been on alert.

On top of cool showers and special health food, artificial snow has been blown into the pen of the tigers to keep them stimulated.

"We are checking their health conditions, day and night. We immediately ask for medical treatment for those who are motionless, and those who look ill as well."

Fresh fruits have been provided for a family of the endangered Asiatic black bears to help them take vitamin supplements.

The two-year-old baby elephant, the mascot of the Seoul Grand Park Zoo, is licking an ice pack frozen with fruits inside to effectively survive the searing heat.

The spotted seals at the zoo have also been presented with a couple of gifts to cope with the heat wave -- a large scale fountain and a shade canopy.

[Eo Gyeong-Yeon, director, Seoul Grand Park Zoo]
"The seals like the fountain as it helps lower the air temperature by about five degrees."

The animals at the zoo are doing their utmost to survive the record sweltering summer heat.
