The Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) has rendered its support for South Korea seeking to win the world railway transport coordinator's membership.
Speaking at a press conference in Poland on Wednesday, the OSJD chairman of the 28-member Warsaw-based organization, Tadeusz Szozda, said that the body plans to amend the membership procedure from a unanimous vote to three-fourths approval from its members, to help South Korea win membership.
A OSJD member state, North Korea has barred South Korea from joining the OSJD, resisting the amendment of the membership procedure.
Szozda has warned that North Korea could lose its membership if it insists on its present stance.
