An American beauty queen has been named a global ambassador for Korea's traditional martial art taekwondo.
The Seoul-based World Taekwondo Federation on Monday appointed 2014 Miss USA Nia Sanchez as its latest goodwill ambassador. Sanchez, who began practicing the Korean martial art at the age of 8, has a fourth-degree black belt.
Staying in South Korea until this weekend, Sanchez will attend various taekwondo-related functions and events, according to the WTF.
