The government is set to increase health insurance premiums next year.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on Monday that it will raise the medical insurance premiums by 0.9% in 2016.
Under the new policy, the monthly average cost for health insurance per employee will increase 879 won ($0.78) from 97,630 won.
Those locally insured will have to pay 765 won more on average per month.
