More than nine out of 10 South Koreans say the problem of lording over others is severe in South Korean society.

According to a recent survey conducted by the Korea Press Foundation, 95 percent of the 1,000 respondents aged 20 to 60 years old agreed that the problem of people throwing their weight around is more extreme in South Korea than in other countries.

The survey also shows that 77 percent replied that the problem is pervasive in all social strata.

Meanwhile, the families of the country's big business conglomerates topped the list of those who boss around most, followed by politicians and high-ranking government officials, according to the survey.
